Key Features

Mathematics and Science compactly packed into a single CAS software program

Perform calculations, draw graphs, take notes, set up tables, and collect data – all with a single software program.

Calculator Perform calculations and enter expressions, equations, and formulas in correct mathematical notation. Lists & Spreadsheet Perform mathematical operations on data and visualize the connections between data and their graphical representation
Graphs Draw and investigate functions, equations, and inequalities, animate points in objects and graphs, explore their behavior with sliders, and many more features Notes In addition to purely mathematical processes, capture notes, steps, instructions, and other comments on the screen.
Geometry Build and explore geometric figures, create animations. Data & Statistics Summarize and analyze data using various graphical methods, e.g., histograms, box plots, bar and pie charts, and other forms of representation.
Vernier DataQuest™ Application Graphical representation of hypotheses and playback of data collection experiments in a single application. Vernier DataQuest™ is a trademark of Vernier Software & Technology.

Concepts of Higher Mathematics

Explore symbolic algebra and symbolic differentiation in addition to numerical standard calculations. Exact values in the form of variables like x and y, roots, and Pi are displayed in step-by-step calculations in arithmetic, algebra, and differentiation.

Mathematical Connections

Multiple simultaneously displayed representations make it easy to see the connections in mathematical changes through immediate updates. This promotes understanding of concepts regardless of each student's individual learning style.

Creating Dynamic Documents

Add TI-Nspire™ applications, text, hyperlinks, images, or videos with the PublishView™ feature to create interactive worksheets, reports, and homework.

Visual Concepts

In addition to the normal computer view, you can also edit documents in the special handheld view, where documents are displayed as they would be on the TI-Nspire™ CX handheld's screen.

Convenient Data Transfer

Students can conveniently transfer their work from their TI-Nspire™ CX handheld to a computer, allowing them to complete their tasks outside of school, at home, or in the library.

Integrated Features

CAS functions (Computer Algebra System)
Additional Mathematical Drawing feature that converts free-form shapes into perfect shapes.
Function, parametric, polar, sequence, and 3D graphs
Multiple graphical representation functions that can be defined, saved, displayed, and analyzed simultaneously
Custom list labels in Lists & Spreadsheets
Eleven interactive zoom functions
Numerical evaluations in table format for all graph modes
Interactive analysis of function values, roots, maxima, minima, integrals, and derivatives
Six different types of charts and 15 colors to customize the appearance of each chart displayed
Matrix operations include inverse, determinant, transpose, augmentation, row echelon form, and elementary row operations. Convert matrices to lists and vice versa. Calculate eigenvalues and eigenvectors
List-based statistical analysis with one and two variables, including logistic, sinusoidal, median-median, linear, logarithmic, exponential, power, quadratic polynomial, cubic polynomial, and biquadratic polynomial regression models
Three statistical plot definitions for scatter plots, xy-line plots, histograms, regular and modified box and whisker plots, and normal probability plots
Advanced statistical analyses, including 10 hypothesis test functions, seven safety probability functions, and one-way ANOVA
Eighteen distribution functions for probability calculations, including cumulative distribution function (CDF), probability density function (PDF), and inverse probability distribution function for normal, Chi-square, t, and F distributions, as well as CDF and PDF for binomial, geometric, and Poisson distributions.
Integrated interactive geometry functions
Fast operation with alpha keys
Simple dropdown menus replicate the intuitive operation of familiar computer functions
TI-Nspire™ documents (.tns files) Save and review work; Create and save TI-Nspire™ documents (.tns files) compatible with TI-Nspire™ software and TI-Nspire™ handhelds. Share through integrated email and Dropbox functions
Use images (file formats JPEG, JPG, BMP, PNG) that can be overlaid with graphical elements
Students investigate mathematical expressions in symbolic form, see patterns, and understand the mathematical processes underlying the formulas.
Multiple representations of a single problem: algebraic, graphical, geometric, numerical, and written.
Chem Box allows convenient entry of chemical formulas and equations
Editing a representation immediately updates the linked representations, thus showing meaningful connections without changing screens. For example, move a function displayed as a graph to see the effects on corresponding equations and data lists.
